The Course is designed to ensure individuals have deep knowledge of Garment Construction (Sewing skills and Techniques) and get introduced to the use of Pattern Making Method in Apparel making. Also, to give those who cannot afford to enrol on the full programme the opportunity to learn and learn right.
This program, which is designed to address the need for better-trained machinists /Stitchers and help young people who have a passion for Fashion the transition from school to the work world, can also serve as a good source of labour to Garment Factories / Design Houses and Fashion Designers. This will also ensure that such individuals who are employable by designers as Machinists/ Stitchers are in turn paid the worth for their skills

Anyone who wants to learn the Art of Dressmaking; Be Able to Take Accurate Measurements; Be able to Read and Or Draft Patterns Accurately; and Be Able to Sew Professionally (Sewing Techniques)
Anyone who wants to learn the “Real” Pattern Making Method of Creating garments
Anyone who sews but wants to learn the Pattern-making Method and upgrade their Skills

What will i learn?
Participants would have learnt the skills and Techniques needed in Sewing professionally, to make them employable or even start their personal sewing business.
Participants will be able to Draft the 5 Basic Sloppers in Pattern-making (Front Skirt, Back Skirt, Front Bodice, Back Bodice and Straight Sleeve)
Participants will also be able to draft the Basic Dress Blocks (Front and Back) and be able to sew professionally.
Participants will be able to think logically and creatively
Dedicated Participants become employable
Students who dedicate their time and are well committed during the Training and Internship will acquire more knowledge at the end of their Programme
Requirements
Basic understanding of Mathematics (Arithmetic) is required.
Punctuality: Participants MUST be fully committed during the period of the Course. Lateness will not be tolerated
Learning Tools and Materials: Participants are required to provide their tools and materials. List of tools will be given. Useful learning links will be shared in class
Participants must provide two (2) passport photographs
