a. Ability to treadle the sewing machine, either manual or industrial is required, because of the short period of learning
\n<\/span><\/span>b. Ability to read and understand English. The textbook is written in English and Lectures will be given in English
\n<\/span>c. Understanding of simple arithmetic. As it involves calculation
\n<\/span>d. Participants must be committed, focused, dedicated and determined to succeed

      This is a 6-week programme designed for those who need the Basics i.e. understanding the Principles behind techniques used in designing and garment construction. Participants will be learning the 5 Basic Slopers in Patternmaking and Trouser & Jumpsuit.<\/span><\/p>\n

      Understanding the Basic Blocks\/Slopers (researchers grouped them into Front Bodice, Back Bodice, Front Skirt, Back Skirt, and Sleeve) as the most important aspect of Garment Making.\u00a0<\/span>When an individual understands these Basics, which we call the Foundation, then individual can build on it. There are thousands of online resources that can also help.<\/span><\/p>\n
